Halsfeger

It's sweeter than a kiss.

Headquartered in Effretikon, Switzerland, Egli AG is a Swiss brand representative, importer and marketer of well-known confectionery products (including Chupa Chups, Mentos, Katjes and Smint) as well as a range of non-food products. With the takeover of Hallsfeger Honey & Herbal Cough Candy, the company has for the first time an own brand and its own products.

Objective: To empower rebirth

Halsfeger throat lozenges were developed in the 1920s and are considered to be Switzerland's first herbal candy with a vanilla flavor. Although brand management and marketing have been neglected in recent years, the product brand is still highly recognized in Switzerland. Our goal was to revitalize Halsfeger while retaining its strong traditional values to increase its appeal to retailers and customers.

Classic Candy Brands Bloom Again

We refined the company's positioning and developed the brand story, design and packaging, focusing on the soothing effects of herbs and the comforting taste of honey. The iconic color scheme of green, blue and orange has been retained, while unique design elements such as fonts and herbal drawings have been liberated from their previous rigid positions and are now freely dispersed throughout the packaging.

Digital Awakening

A new website provides information about the history of cough sweets and a small part of Swiss tradition, for which we have also recreated some of the classic advertisements that have long been part of Swiss poster art.
