Bringing Color into the Mechanized World

BKW is an international company in energy and infrastructure, transforming itself from a state-owned electricity supplier to a customer-centered energy service provider. The new BKW aims to reduce complexity and communicate more emotionally on an equal and reciprocal basis with its customers.

Simplify

Simplify Introducing bold colors into a highly mechanical world brings BKW to life. We use clear, easy-to-understand illustrations to explain complex information. Icons and hand-drawn sketches complement each other, making BKW's unique approach to simplifying information the most important feature.

The world of BKW is enriched by the active presence of three primary colors, each with three different shades of brightness and accentuated by the orange in the logo. Each application selects two of these color groups to combine.

Illustrations depict complex information, situations, and themes to convey content in a clear and emotional way.

People and their needs

The new visual breaks away from the old image of the power infrastructure, with BKW choosing to focus more on people than energy production, which emphasizes BKW's new role as a service provider.

Production of the company's annual report with a minimalist design

The first priority was to visualize and visualize eye-catching design elements and new tones, and to use simple illustrations to explain complex systems.

A company's culture depends on the people who work in it. The Employer Brand builds on the main brand and articulates the values that BKW has to offer current and future employees. Through a dedicated communications platform, the employer brand also provides BKW with the content it needs at touchpoints such as job fairs, recruitment advertisements and job descriptions.
