Interview

This summer, my internship days in Ploe

With the end of the holiday season and the start of the school year in September, how did you spend your summer vacation? Did you enjoy traveling abroad with your family? Or do you work part-time to earn pocket money? Or do you want to intern in a company to learn more about the industry and to accumulate professional skills and work experience?

This summer, Process has five interns from different universities. Although it's only a short period of two months, they not only performed very well, but also will return to the campus with full of harvests. This time, they share their experience with us, so that we can understand more about the win-win benefits of corporate internships for both students and companies.

Differences between internships and part-time jobs

Many students who want to participate in corporate internships are often questioned by their family members and friends, "Since they are going to work, and internships don't pay, why don't they just go to a part-time job? Min Huu, who has worked part-time before, said that most of the students, because of their lack of qualifications in the industry, could only look for jobs in the food and beverage industry that did not require professional knowledge and skills, and although they could receive a basic salary, it would be of limited help to their future career development. She believes that taking the summer vacation to work as an intern in an enterprise can not only quickly accumulate professional skills and adapt to the workplace culture in advance, but also is definitely more favorable than working, both in terms of their own resume and the direction of finding a job in the future.

Ying Ling, who is the youngest and is only going to be a junior in college, has been in charge of animation after entering the Ploe internship. She said that animation has always been a part of her interest, but there are not many related courses offered by the professors in the school, and if she goes to an outside tutorial class to enhance her learning, she will have to spend a large sum of money on tuition! Previously, she could only rely on her own to keep practicing, but after she came to ProActive for an internship, she had the experience of real case studies and the company's colleagues were not stingy with their guidance, so this kind of harvest is certainly much more useful than a regular part-time job!

Theory of School Knowledge vs.

All of the interns in the room agreed that after coming here, they will be able to realize the difference between the theoretical knowledge they learned in school and the practical experience in the workplace. Chun Wei, a student of cultural advertising, mentioned that most of the students graduated from high school and only started to learn related professional knowledge when they entered the university, so most of the students in the school were "starting from scratch", learning more basic theories and skills. This time, when he assisted Pro colleagues in compiling a brand specification manual for a foreign company, he originally followed the theories learned in school to produce, and in the process of implementation, he found that as a designer, it is more important to clarify the customer's problem, and according to the strategy and design planning, to be able to accurately solve the customer's needs, which is often the key to solving the problem for the professional workers.

Yining nodded her head. During her internship at Pro, she and Steinbach were in charge of different clients' logo design cases. They realized that communication with the client is an important factor in how long it takes to complete a project. This includes two major aspects:

The ability to guide and understand the client's main needs and to express your design in a way that the client understands.

Therefore, a good designer must also have good communication skills, which can save a lot of time and energy for both parties to modify.

Minh also said that when she was in school, she only had to base her work on the aesthetics of the design, but in this internship experience, she also had to consider the company's corporate culture, cost considerations, and the ease of use from the client, which is a practical experience that can't be learned in school.

Students get stuck in early, companies are happy to nurture talent

As a matter of fact, many companies also make use of the opportunity of recruiting interns to cultivate and identify talents. For example, Sifan, who used to work at Prosperity, is Yingling's sister from the same department two years ago. She performed well as an intern at Prosperity and became a full-time employee after graduation. With the experience of previous internships, the adaptation period of newcomers can be shortened quickly, and newcomers also have a considerable degree of understanding and recognition of the corporate culture, which can significantly reduce the cost of time and the risk of hiring for the enterprise.

The interns here also mentioned that during their internships at Prosperity, the company's colleagues did not hide their experience, allowing them to directly assist in participating cases and taking them to listen to customer feedback, which not only gave them a clearer concept of the brand design industry, but also greatly increased their sense of identification with the company. As a result of participating in the corporate internship program, we have received invitations to give lectures and collaborate with various schools and departments, which has enabled us to more effectively disseminate our corporate culture and demonstrate our good corporate social responsibility.

Through the corporate internship program, interns were also able to interact with students from other schools in different disciplines. Many of them said that when they returned to campus, they would be more aware of how to strengthen their deficiencies, rather than just finishing their credits. For example, Youning wants to learn more about app programming, Steinbach wants to strengthen her web design, and Junwei, who considers himself to be more introverted, wants to take more classes on planning, so that he can be more clear about the operation of the whole project.

Finally, the interns also suggested that students should participate in corporate internship programs when they have the opportunity, and carefully choose companies that are willing to help them advance. Not only can they improve their professional abilities, but also those who are uncertain or doubtful about their abilities and future will be more aware of their future direction through practical operations in the workplace!

He suggested that there should be continuity in brand identity, and that the re-branding would not be a 180-degree change, but rather a complete but refined communication of the core values of the brand.

"We need to integrate with the core competencies of the company to understand what our business is really doing," he said, as if the spectrum of the customer's greatest value lies in the production capacity and close service, "so that after the refined vision, there is a powerful effect.
