Feldschlösschen

Feldschlösschen’s «Theophil Vintage» speciality beer celebrates more than 135 years of brewing tradition. A special mash is brewed in odd-numbered years and bottled off in 500 numbered flagons as an exclusive treat for beer connoisseurs. We designed the first bottle for the collector’s edition back in 2009, featuring a presentation box in dark wood and glasses with an appropriately understated printed design. The brewers have used an old recipe to concoct a dark beer with Fricktal cherries for the 2011 special edition, and we drew our inspiration from old printing techniques for the golden printwork on the glass and the pyrogravure stamp on the light wood. The eponymous Theophil Roniger, one of Feldschlösschen’s founding fathers, appears in portrait on both editions.
