Birth of a global player
Created in 1996 from a merger of Ciba-Geigy and Sandoz, the Basle healthcare concern Novartis now employs a workforce of around 97,000 in more than 140 countries. Once the company was founded, Process was tasked with developing its corporate image, a demanding undertaking with only the logo, which had been developed in London, to go on. The Process team, which at the time was still relatively small, was supported by a group of contract designers.
